Hiking - Fantastic hiking routes
Hike at the Jakob way and Arno way, into the low-stone-clammy and in the
European nature protected
area Wenger moor, to the emperor beach. You get the official hike-map
of Salzburger lake-countryside for only 2 euros.
The Jakob way covers the north of lake
Wallersee
over Neumakt in Pfongau after Henndorf. The way continues and leads you to
Seekirchen at Wallersee and over
Salzburg
into the
Bavaria.
The
Arnoweg
leads you from Oichtental to Mattsee and over the Ludwighoehe up on the plateau
of Eglseen, where the water of the moor shows its mysteroius side. Across the
village Schleedorf leads the way further up to Tannberg, through some other
quiet and peaceful villages. The view from the top of the mountain extends upto
the bravarian mountains .The lake Wallersee lies between them and Salzburg
waits for you behind it.
In the 30's Carl Zuckmayer discovered the beauty of this region on his tours
around Henndorf near Wallersee. Some other very nice ways lead to other
fantastic places in the region, like ""Zur goldenen Kutsche", "Zum toten
Mann" and very close to the European nature
protected area Wenger moor.
