Lake Wallersee, paradise of the Sailors and Surfers

Wind in Wallersee with constant east and west breezes are very similar to those to Trumer lakes. Surfing in Austria began from Wallersee- Bertram Glazier, created here in the seventies the first Surfschool in Austria.

Yatching is organized at Wallersee by two clubs, S ALZBURGER YACHT CLUB and SEGELCLUB SEEKIRCHEN. Apart from smaller tounaments, that take place often, Wallersee is also the host of the Salzburg Cup, which is the biggest cup in the region.
